messageing u from my ps3 now yeah my ps3 never used to have problems now it freezes everytime i play cod b ops 2 im mad we half to pay for this stuff but yet it dont work right my new xbox 360 has never froze our let me down but my ps3 im sick of corruption tests it always says theres corruption but there wasnt before and i bought my ps3 new now some days it works well but on internet browser i never have any sound i used to have sound then 1 day it stopped i still have sound in games but not the internet browser and im sick of paying for games and systems that have problems they shouldnt be allowed to b bought our sold till there free of problems dont call sony when i did worst help ever

Yup Black Ops 2 broke my friends bluray drive 10 minutes into playing it. Guess whag happened when he bought BLOPS 1? Same thing. Poor bastard. Fuck you Treyarch my PS3 hasnt broken yet but ive had to reboot it a few times because of your shit game. Its so clunky online no one can even enjoy it everyone just plays for zombies we all know Infinity Ward makes the better MP asswipes

Well the only game I ever had issues with freezing is Skyrim. Last time I played Skyrim was back in June and I havnt had issues with freezing since and have played several games without freezing until I popped in CODBO2. Ten minutes into Zombie play it froze, had to do a hard reset, ten min into it, it froze again, did another hard reset and now it does not read BD’s at all. Received error code 80010514, Blu Ray cannot read disc. First measure I took was cleaning the Blu Ray lens following this tutorial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXrEyE3OwbQ but to no avail it did not work. Next I had read this http://www.ps3blog.co.za/2008/04/10/ps3-error-80010514-explained/ and reformatted my HD and did a sytem restore as this article suggests that files are corrupt. Did not work. Looks like my next step is to buy a new BD drive and replace it. I did not consider BO2 to be the cause of this but it very well could be. A disk hang or frozen disc definitely ruins the lens of the Blu Ray reader.

sind i bought black ops 2 i have been having the same problems my ps simply wont read ,and if it reads it freezes in multiplayer
i hope that it wont destroy my ps3 . thank you treyarch?activision ,and sony they earnt their money so poor us

I also want to confirm I agree with this poster that this game’s glitches very possibly are doing hardware damage over time to PS3′s. I know it sounds crazy, but I’ve been yet another victim. I’ve played tons of games, no problems, the only other game that would ever freeze would be Fallout 3 rarely. Then we buy Black Ops 2 special edition, it freezes our playstation about once every 4 games, which means we had to hard reboot our system 8+ times a day. We received the patch to “fix” ps3 user’s freezing problems. Yet it only cut out about half of the freezing instead of all of the episodes. Also the sound would garble while playing, etc. We were playing Black Ops 2, when all of a sudden what happens? It freezes solid at the screen AGAIN, yet this time when hard booting, the Blu-Ray drive no longer reads anything. No games, no dvd’s, no music cd’s. If the Blu-Ray drive were unable to read the disc before the freeze, it would have had a problem, but not until the EXACT monent the game glitched did my BluRay drive go out… So yeah I get that Activision is blaming PS3′s hardware, but I’ve never had a single other game act 5 percent as glitchy as this one, so I think through their poor software programming they’ve caused uneeded problems with a lot of user’s systems. Sad that no one is willing to back this problem up. We paid $80 + for a game that breaks our $200+ system… awesome.
